Compression is one of the most important things to check when buying an FD RX-7 with a 13B-REW rotary engine. You can review the actual compression test results in the YouTube video. Of course, an in-person inspection is also possible since the car is currently in Texas. The FD3S RX-7 is one of Mazda’s most iconic sports cars, powered by the legendary 13B-REW twin-turbo rotary engine. Unlike a conventional piston engine, the rotary engine uses a triangular rotor, allowing for a compact and lightweight design with a smooth, high-revving character. The 13B-REW also uses a sequential twin-turbo system, giving the RX-7 its distinctive power delivery.
